1. Acceptance
You must be at least 18 years old, or use the service with a parent or guardian’s supervision. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Nature of the service
Soomk is a technology platform for posting requests, receiving bids, booking seats on published routes, and managing status and communication. Soomk is not a transportation company or fleet operator. Drivers are independent or operate on their own behalf; licensing, insurance, and traffic compliance remain with them unless a separate agreement with Soomk states otherwise.
3. Account & security
- You provide accurate information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for your password and for activity on your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches of these terms or for reasonable security reasons.
4. Rider responsibilities
- Provide trip or shipment details as accurately as possible.
- Honor the price and conditions agreed after you accept a bid or confirm a booking.
- Treat drivers and vehicles respectfully; no abuse, threats, or fraud.
- Follow cancellation and refund rules as shown in the app or as agreed between the parties.
5. Driver responsibilities
- Comply with Jordanian laws on driving, vehicles, and insurance where applicable.
- Provide truthful information about routes, seats, pricing, and timing.
- Complete confirmed trips professionally, or cancel according to published rules to avoid harming riders.
- No unlawful discrimination or harassment of riders.
6. Bids, routes & seat bookings
You may use on-demand requests with price bids, or book seats on a driver-published route. Minimum prices or conditions may appear in the app. A driver’s acceptance of a seat request may depend on availability; when accepted, status and seat counts update according to platform logic.
7. Payments & wallet
Fees, commissions, or settlements are described in the app or in separate agreements. You agree to follow the payment methods we enable. Methods may change with reasonable notice in the product.
8. Ratings & content
Ratings should be fair and honest. Illegal, abusive, or misleading content is prohibited. We may remove content or restrict features for violations.
9. Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, impersonation, or manipulation of bids or pricing.
- Using the platform for illegal activity or prohibited goods.
- Reverse engineering, disrupting our systems, or endangering user security.
- Harvesting user data or harassment outside what is reasonable to complete a trip.
10. Intellectual property
Soomk branding, platform design, and our proprietary content are protected. Do not copy or reuse them without written permission.
11. Disclaimers
We provide the platform “as is” within reasonable limits. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. You are responsible for your interactions with the other party during a trip.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Jordanian law, Soomk is not liable for indirect damages or lost profits arising from use of the platform. Where liability is not excluded, it may be limited to platform fees you paid directly to Soomk for the period before the claim, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Soomk against claims arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms, as determined by a competent court.
14. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Disputes are subject to the competent courts in Jordan unless otherwise agreed in writing.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance, unless additional consent is required by law.
